“To My Child,” quoted in Charles L. Wallis, ed., The Treasure Chest
Tonight as I was rushing, rushing to get the kids into the tub so I could go get ready for my date I had one of those "I'm the luckies girl in the world" moments. I remember looking at Graham's face, covered in dirt and Sadie's hair still sticking up from where her pig tails used to be and looking into Max's blue, blue eyes and thinking, "these are mine." I just sat there on the towel watching them while they splashed around and watched me. Everything is good.
