no big deal craft.

My brother Chase left on his mission last week. He will be gone for 2 years!! That seems so long. We are planning on going on a really fun cruise as a family when he gets back. We are going to put away $20 bucks a week for the 2 years that he is gone for the cruise. And this is the jar where it will be kept. I got the idea here.

use tape and paper to cover up the area of the jar you do not want painted. then spray paint where you do want paint.

let the paint dry. if you don't (like me) then use a razor and scrap off the paint where you messed up.

get out your lace and fabric tape and decide what you want to use.

put it on there. my paint still wasn't dry so the lace stuck to it then i stuck fabric tape on the lace.

put it somewhere where you can see it and remember to put money in it. maybe in the kitchen so you will remember that you want to look skinny on your cruise also.

12 goals update

I few days ago I wrote (typed) 12 goals I wanted to do before the end of the year. I wish to inform you that I'm doing good!!!

My goals are:

  1. decorate and make crafts for each holiday
  2. plant winter garden
  3. read book of mormon
  4. make at least 5 homemade Christmas gifts
  5. eat "clean" during the week
  6. work out 5 days a week
  7. read to the kids everyday
  8. make a new recipe once a week
  9. have prayers and scriptures with the kids every night
  10. hold family home evening every week
  11. make a profile at mormon.org
  12. no soda

And so far:

I have decorated for Halloween, and made a craft,

planned flowers and winter grass,

ate "Clean" during the week

(raspberries, cottage cheese, coconut, and flax seed)

(oatmeal, pecans, ground flax seed, pomegranates, coconut, honey and milk.)

(frozen veggies and eggs)

read to the kids, (they loved it! ha)

tried 2 new recipes (s'mores cookie bars and bbq chicken quinoa salad),

(carmel apples are kind of like a craft)

I started my profile at mormon.org and I have NOT drank soda!! I'm also reading the Book of Mormon and planning on running tonight.

It's so fun to feel accomplished. I think I'll post my progress very Monday to keep my motivated.

update

Last Sunday was this girls blessing. She is soooooooooo cute.

After the blessing Ash had a lunchen so Graham got to play with his wild boy cousins and he fit right in.

That night was Chase's open house.

We did some pictures with Chase and his friends: Travis, Drey, and Mekenna.

Chase got set apart Monday night. Then we went to Si Senor's.

His flight left Tuesday around 1.

We already miss him so much. I know he will be a great missionary and can't wait for him to get back.
