Amron's Lunch

I saw this really cute idea here that helped me get motivated to pack Amron's lunch.

Dinner was a success because Graham asked for seconds.

I tried coconut oil for the first time and loved it.

Graham always asks to see the picture after I take it. When he looked at this one he said, "mom I was tooting!" haha

I put these bread crumbs and small pieces of raw chicken in a brown bag together then shook it up (did you see The Help?). Then cooked it in the coconut oil.

He loves taking pictures. It was his idea to get a picture of his back. haha

So it's official! We are moving!!! When we were first married we bought a house. We've moved around a lot since then and have been renting it out. The guy we rented it to is moving out and it's kind of perfect timing because we are growing out of the place we are in.

We want to do some repairs and make it cozy so it will be a place we want to stay for the next few years. We are hoping to get into U of A Phoenix so that would keep us here.

The house is really old. And has lots of weird things. Like the master bedroom has 3 closets. And the front door has two entryways. These things might sound cool but no, they are not. They look tacky. I will take some before pictures and hopefully really cool after pictures!

We will be working on it for the next couple of months. We want to be in by the beginning of November or sooner.

I'm addicted to pinterest of course and have been pinning away for my dream house for a while now.  I hope the after pictures look a little like this.

out of the house

To keep Graham from doing this:

we have to get out of the house. So we go to grandma's of course.

That should tire him out.

Snake Bite

I still can't believe this really happened.

 Chase's python bit Paige.

The big one. He's 4 feet long and really thick.

Chase had to rip him off her arm.

Anyways, both his snakes are for sale. Let me know if you're interested! haha

my morning

So far today was been one of those stay home and get things taken care of kind of days. Graham has really needed one of these days. Yesterday he tried to pull Sadie's earrings out, kicked Max in the eye and poked and pinched both of them a ton.
We woke up, fed the babies, watched The Backyardagains, ate blueberries, fed the babies, read books on the kitchen floor, Graham on my lab and the babies in their bouncers (the kitchen floor is the cleanest in the house right now. weird), read scriptures, ate lunch, cleaned up toys, fed the babies, baths (!), more stories and snuggling and now: NAP TIME!

The best part of the morning was when Graham said he wanted to help Said say the prayer. So he folded her arms (really tight) then said, "Heavenly Father loves us Sadie." Then poked her eye.

He's a sweetheart.

This quote really stood out to me today:

"We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are."
 Marjorie Pay Hinckley

That was for me.

Chandler's First Football Game of the Season and My Date With Graham

Before we went to Chandler's (my 15 year-old brother) football game Graham and I went to Los Favoritos. Amron had already eaten and the babies were in the car so he drove around while Graham and I went in to eat.
I little background on Los Favoritos and I:

  •  It 's half a mile from the house I grew up in.
  • My parents took us there all the time.
  • During my Sophomore year of high school we remodeled our house. Our kitchen was out of commission for about 3 months. I ate almost every meal there so after it was remodeled it was just a habit to go there.
  • All my friends loved it too. It was our hang out spot.
  • I have so many memories from that place.
Today when Graham and I sat down in a booth with our food all those fun memories came flooding back and I felt a little sad that things would never be like that again. But as I looked over at Graham with beans all over his chubby cheeks sticking his hand in the water cup then pulling it out and trying to flick it on me I smiled knowing that this day would be it's own memory and the start of new chapter with my kids and this place.

I'm getting pretty sentimental about food huh? haha Don't even get me started on the green sauce!
